Rukere Rich Murphy, a Semester 4 BBA-IB student, has announced his candidacy for Guild President at ISBAT University. Born and raised in Burundi, Rukere brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student welfare. His motivation comes from a lifelong desire to serve, having previously held roles as Head Boy and Dining Senator, where he developed a passion for fostering positive change. “I’m here to help build a university where each student’s voice is heard, each talent is celebrated, and every one of us feels empowered,” he says.
Areas of Focus
Rukere’s manifesto centers on creating a strong, inclusive ISBAT community through four main initiatives. He envisions a future where students, faculty, and administration collaborate seamlessly to ensure that ISBAT remains a place of excellence, growth, and support.
Additionally, Rukere aims to enhance campus life by enriching student activities with vibrant events, diverse sports, and cultural showcases, creating a balance of academic and recreational opportunities.
Looking ahead, he is focused on bridging the skills gap with seminars and workshops that connect students to industry experts, broadening career horizons, and preparing students to navigate the job market with confidence.
He also pledges to cultivate a culture of openness, where diversity is celebrated and students from all backgrounds feel a sense of belonging.
Above all, Rukere is committed to transparency and accountability in resource allocation, emphasizing ethical practices and clear communication regarding budgeting.
Plans After Inauguration
If entrusted with the role of Guild President, Rukere has outlined key initiatives for immediate action. He promises to establish resources for blended learning, including recorded lectures and centralized materials for easy access. Additionally, he plans to enhance cafeteria facilities to include more diverse meal options and convenient charging stations.
He’s also committed to supporting students' extracurricular interests by creating a more engaging campus life through talent expos, sports leagues, and a dynamic events calendar that energizes and connects the community.
Engagement Plan for Students
Rukere emphasizes the importance of direct communication and transparency. He plans to hold open forums where students can discuss their concerns, including issues around tuition and campus facilities, directly with guild representatives. This feedback-driven approach ensures that students are not only heard but actively involved in shaping ISBAT’s future.
His ultimate goal is to foster a campus environment where everyone is valued, and no one feels left out. Vote Rukere Rich Murphy for Guild President.
