ISBAT University dives deeper into transformative discussions, groundbreaking insights, and real-world applications of Disruptive technologies in shaping the future of business in a two-day event. When it comes to talks of tech, ISBAT University has always raised the flag and taken first place in the race of transformation and transition. This is the third one-of-a-kind conference that has converged stakeholders in technology, academia, and business to present to the table challenges and opportunities presented by digital innovation.
On the first day, the gem welcomed notable figures like Hon.
Joyce Nabosa Ssebugwawo, Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, and
Mr. Timothy Ssebugwawo, Acting Commissioner, Department of University
Education, as distinguished guests of honor. The session featured insightful
discussions and knowledge sharing on how digital innovation can drive positive
changes in education and industry.
The second day was graced by the “bivilu promoter”
turned Minister, Dr. Balaam Barugahara, Minister for Youth and Children’s
Affairs who has made rounds when it comes to offering support to such initiatives.
His 360 view on the matter left the crowd opening jaws in amusement.
The conference featured talks on cutting-edge and emerging technologies like AI and automation in fields of agriculture and health care, Blockchain, and Fintech Innovations when it comes to addressing the loopholes in the banking system and promoting transparency, Cybersecurity and data as it has become a concern for African start-ups. Not to forget, the role of the youth in promoting technology and innovation had a place on the panel.
As the event came to its close, the participants shared
their views on the disciplines, opened up to the advantages and disadvantages
of the inevitable surge in tech, and shared views on bridging the gap between
innovation and practical disciplines in African society.
